What Days or Times are Best to Make Recruiting Calls
One of the questions we’re asked the most is, “What are the best days or times to make recruiting calls?”
Most people assume Mondays and Fridays are the worst days. And, because many brokerages hold their trainings on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings, those are thought to be bad times to call as well.
Every day we’re on the phone, we track our conversion rate. That’s the percentage of people we speak with who agree to an appointment with our clients.
Here’s how the days broke down in 2024:
Monday – 8.9%
Tuesday – 9.6%
Wednesday – 8.9%
Thursday – 8.9%
Friday – 8.1%
The numbers from 2023 were about 1.5% higher on average per day, but the difference between days was similar.
So, there isn’t a “bad” day to make calls. Yes, Friday is slightly lower, but not enough to skip making calls that day.
But, what about the best times in the day to make calls?
While we track our answer rate per day, we don’t break it down by time of day. That said, based on the feedback from our appointment setters, they get more answers in the morning than they do in the afternoon.
The difference isn’t significant enough to say the afternoon is a bad time to call, but if you only have a few hours a day to make calls, you’re better off making them in the morning.
